Bariatric Support Groups
Our program includes a multidisciplinary team that provides preoperative education and support classes, postoperative support group settings where nutrition, exercise and behavior modification are reinforced at monthly meetings, and newsletters offer updated education on bariatrics. Follow-up and medical/nutritional management are included for 18 months after DS surgery. Annual follow-up visits are recommended at 24 months and annually thereafter. Ongoing research and publications continue to be considered an important part of our practice. We are proud of our successful patients, and follow up with them on an annual basis.
