Your journey will begin with a simple phone call to our office, 415-668-3200 to speak with our patient coordinator. Initial paperwork can be mailed to you or downloaded from our patient forms page. Recommendations by our medical staff and evaluations, most often by your own primary care physician, can prepare you for surgery. We will discuss your medical history as well as factors such as lifestyle and personal preference in order to help you determine which bariatric procedure is right for you. You need only make one trip to San Francisco for your surgery. Your follow up can be easily coordinated by phone or email, with inclusion to your primary care physician. Our knowledgeable staff can recommend accommodations and attractions for you to enjoy during your visit, as well as help you plan for your surgical procedure and immediate post-op recovery.

Your Surgery

Whether you drive or fly, San Francisco is a convenient destination. Our international airport is serviced by all major airlines, and the city is condensed and easy to navigate. Our helpful staff will be happy to offer advice regarding the closest, most convenient hotels, and to answer any questions you might have about traveling to the Bay Area.

Bariatric surgery typically requires a stay of several days in the hospital, and we will need to see you after 7 to 10 days for a follow up examination. While you rest and recuperate, we can recommend light activities for you to enjoy during your stay. We will work with you to create a plan for long term follow up care that is both convenient and effective.
